John, with his gruff exterior, had a heart of gold. We will be forever grateful for all that he did for our daughter, Mackenzie. At a time when her confidence was very low, he gave her a job, which helped boost her into the young woman she has become today! (She just this month graduated with a BSN in nursing from SIU-E) Thank you, Uncle John for believing in all kids, giving them a chance, but also a swift kick-of the tongue- when required!!! We loved your restaurant, the delicious food, that hasn't been duplicated around here, since you closed. Rest in peace and enjoy your eternal life, pain free and young again!

We were so sorry to here John had passed. The Lord has him now. No more pain or suffering. He will be missed but greatly remembered. To family and friends, may the Lord our Father give you peace
