Vicki Marie Hein

Vicki Marie Hein (formerly Vicki M. Kinzora), 72 of Springfield, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Memorial Hospital, in Springfield with her family by her side. Vicki was born on July 16, 1950, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Herbie and Darlene (Van Fossan) McDaniel. She married Ed Hein on August 5, 2017 and he survives. Vicki had a passion for her family, butterflies, watching wildlife in their backyard, saving big cats at the refuge in Arkansas, and her favorite dogs Bear, Lucky, Baxter, Sally and Winnie. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning and bird watching as well. Vicki retired in 2017 from Bergners as Vicki Kinzora after 38 years of service, having started at Myers Brothers on September 11, 1978.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Terry McDaniel and Tim Bridges.

She is survived by husband Ed; son, James (Mindy) Glenn of Sherman, IL, and their daughter Brittany Glenn of Chatham; son, Troy (Elly) Glenn and their children Marc and Keary of St. Marys, Georgia; their daughter Kathryn (Matt) and their son Jackson Schmidt of Springfield, IL,; brothers, Wayne Bridges of Springfield and Gary (Nichole) Grohler of Bloomington, IL,; sister, Judy Bolender of Williamsburg, OH, and step father Dick Davis of Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM with short prayer service to follow at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester, IL.

Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services for the family will be held Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protective League in Springfield.
