Steven S Trells

Steven S. Trells, 57, of Athens, IL passed away on Thursday November 11, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Steve was born in Springfield on September 18, 1964 the son of Michael and Connie (Miller) Trells. He graduated from Lanphier High School and retired from the State Journal Register.

Steve was stubborn, hardheaded, loving and generous. He loved to joke and be sarcastic with the people that he cared about. Steve had no children of his own, but his nieces and nephews were his whole world. He loved them deeply. He was an avid animal lover, especially cats. Steve lived for 70s and 80s classic rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother in law, Randy Peddycoart of Springfield.

Steve is survived by his sister, Debbie Peddycoart of Athens; brother, Michael “Greg” Trells of Hawaii; aunt, Judy Poehlein of Springfield; nephew, Justin Peddycoart of Springfield; nieces, Alison Peddycoart of Athens and Laura Peddycoart of Springfield; great nieces and nephews, Nathan, Abigail, Nolan, Coy, Noah, and River; as well as several cousins

Cremation services are being accorded and a celebration of life will be held by the family.
