Obituary

Ronald E. Bell passed away at home on Friday July 21, 2023. Ronald was born in South Bend, IN on January 30, 1941 and was the son of Wayne and Helen Bell.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom Bell; grandchildren, Heaven and Angel Emery; brothers, Bill Bell, John Bell; sisters, June Burkhart, Helen Bailey, and Barb Elder. He is survived by his sons Wayne Bell and Michael Bell; daughters, Crystal (husband, Chris) Emery and Brittney Shepard; 13 grandchildren, Dayton, Armani, Oaklen, Heath, Carson, Clayton, Colonel, Caiden, Andrew, Skylar, Casey Jr. Ryder,  and Layla; and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Ron loved long walks and playing games with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking photos and watching his grandsons play baseball and wrestle. He liked to listen to Elvis and boring talk radio.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 2nd, 2023 at the Springfield First United Methodist Church, 2941 South Koke Mill Road, Springfield, IL 62711. Visitation open from 3:30pm till the time of the Service at 4:30pm.

An informal dinner will be held at the Emery Residence following the service.
