Obituary

Michael Kennedy, 82, of Springfield, passed away on January 22, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1940, in Springfield, the son of James and Martha (Vance) Kennedy. Mike was loved by many and people loved his sense of humor, and was known for making any situation better with it. He was a hard worked and would help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janis Kennedy; parents, James and Martha Kennedy; twin sister Marilyn Bryant and sister, Judy Osborne.

He is survived by his children; Michael (Stephanie) Kennedy, Tammy (Dave) Fitch, Richard (Delinda) Kennedy and Marilyn Fizel; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Yvonne) Kennedy as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation was accorded by Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.

Graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 11:00AM on Friday, May 12, 2023 with Pastor Myles Alexander officiating.

Mike loved listening to Dr. David Jeremiah at Turning Point Ministry where memorial donations may be sent to P.O. Box 3838 San Diego, CA 92163.
