Obituary
Mary “Marie” Gochanour, 81, of Dawson, IL passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2022 in the company of her family at St. Johns Hospital.
Marie was born in Springfield, IL on June 1, 1941 the daughter of Marion and Marcella (Farley) Lane.
She married her husband, Gary Allen Gochanour and he preceded her in death in 2021. Marie is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Samuel and Allen; her sister, Janet; and son-in-law, Patrick Churchill
Marie is survived by her sons, Charles (Vickie) Gochanour, and George (Linda) Gochanour; daughters, Ruth (David) Miller, Janet (Brian) Cooper, and Connie Churchill; as well as 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Ronald Lane.
She enjoyed cooking and singing as well as arts and crafts. Marie also enjoyed reading. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her Grandbabies.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 11:00am till 12:15pm. A graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
