James “Randy” Piper Sr., 50, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018.
Randy was born on December 9, 1967 in Springfield the son of Gordon and Flora Burris Piper. He married Lori Lascody on August 15, 1992 in Springfield.
He was a graduate of Lanphier High School and went to serve through the Iron Worker Apprenticeship Program. He was a member of Iron Workers Local #46. He was a Chicago Blackhawks fan, liked racing, and loved his wife and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Lori; children, James “Randy” Piper of St. Louis, Devon James (wife, Danielle) Piper of Springfield and Tori Lynn (companion, Travis Lascody) Piper of Springfield; granddaughters, Abigail Lynn Piper, and Riley Jo Piper; parents, Gordon (wife, Paula) Piper of FL and Flora Piper of Springfield; siblings, Robbie (wife, Kim) Piper of Springfield and Cari (husband, Rick Cory) Piper of Rochester; in-laws, Bob and Judy Lascody of Springfield; brother-in-law Robert James (wife, Lisa) Lascody of Rochester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Calvin Miller officiating.
