Gerald Allen Rouse

Gerald Allen Rouse, 76, of Petersburg, IL passed away at his home on Friday January 14, 2022 in the company of his family.

Gerald was born in Springfield on February 22, 1945. He was married to his wife, Beverly M. (Otto) Rouse for 25 years this upcoming year. Gerald loved his whole family; he was a very sweet and mild-mannered person that enjoyed being ornery at times.

Gerald took time to also enjoyed baking with some of his family and was an avid Steelers and Dale Earnhardt fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother, who raised him.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Beverly Rouse; children, Jerry (Theresa) Rouse Jr., Jeff Rouse, and Jason Rouse; step sons, Chad (Mary) Smith and Shawn (Lacey) Binney; grandchildren, Gianna, Courtney, Jake, Jewel, Justin, Lucas, Khloe, and Sophie; as well as several great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday January 23, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 N. 5th St Springfield, IL 62702. The service for Gerald will begin at 2:00pm and guests may arrive between 1:30pm and 2:00pm.
