Garry Brian Courier, 47, of Auburn, IL passed away at home on March 6, 2021.
He was born on May 1, 1973 in Springfield, IL to Deanna Courier and Garry Courier. He married Dawn (Sexton) Koke on June 7, 2008 in New Berlin, IL. He Drove for Stroller Trucking until his diagnosis of Lung Cancer 1 year ago. He was a member of the Berlin Christian Church.
Garry is survived by his wife, Dawn Courier of Auburn, IL; his mother, Deanna Courier of Waverly, IL; his father, Garry (Kathy) Courier of Elkhart, IN; 2 sons, Jacob Courier of Springfield, IL and Kyle Koke of Joint base Lewis McChord (JBLM) Washington; 2 daughters, Brianna Courier of Franklin, IL and Kelsi Koke of Virden, IL; 2 brothers, Eric (Janeth) Courier of Davenport, IA, and Justin (fiancé, Sheri) Courier of Chatham, IL; also his grandmother, Dorothy Wiser of Waverly, IL and several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Preceding him in death was his grandparents Alberta and Danny Courier and his grandfather, Ernest Wiser.
His passion for driving came from his father. He drove for many other companies in his 25-year career. He has been in every State and seen many sights. His favorite was relaxing and spending time with his family at Gulf Shores with his toes in the sand and a drink in his hand. Also when he was home and had the time, he enjoyed doing some shooting and target practice. We all love and miss you Garry Brian (Fly High My Love).
Memorial contributions can be made to the Berlin Christian Church and the American Lung Association.
Cremation services are being accorded.
A public visitation will be held on Friday March 12, 2021 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. till the time of the Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Warren Brosi of Berlin Christian Church will be officiating.
