Frank William Lanham

Frank William Lanham, 59, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at his apartment.

Frank was born on April 18, 1963, in Springfield, the son of Linda Ruth Stufflebeam Lanham Mitchell and Frank Willard Lanham. He is survived by his daughters. Kristi Lynn (Matt) Kutzora, and Lindsey Mae Lanham (fiancé Luke Clements); father Frank (Carolyn) Lanham; brother, Larry Dean Lanham; grandchildren, Hailey Marie Kutzora, Kinley Alexandra Kutzora, Alexis Kay Morgan, Brysen Adam Clements, Evan Wade Clements and Logan Michael Clements; former wife, Linda Burtle as well as four aunts, two uncles and several cousins.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Mitchell, grandparents Francis and Eunice Brown Lanham; cousin, Cheree R. Middaugh; grandparents, Ben and Emma Stufflebeam; aunt, Bernadine L. Brown; and cousin Marty Foster.

Frank was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 84/2185 serving a 4 year apprenticeship and was a journeyman for several years.

Frank graduated from Lanphier High School where he attended Capitol Area Vocational School and was a top student. He played the drums in his brother’s band at the Illinois Country Opera at Petersburg, IL, Sangamon Opera in Edinburg as well as many taverns where a hat would be passed around to give the boys some money. Frank played shortstop on his dad’s Dairy Queen Khory League Championship team. He was good at making/ building things out of wood like cabinets and bird houses and enjoyed fishing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth Street, Springfield, IL. 62702 from 5:00-7:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 14, at 10:00AM with Reverend Braden Parks officiating.
