Bobby Howe Obituary

Bobby Glenn Howe Sr.

October 19, 1938 – November 3, 2023

As I know that my time here on earth is growing shorter by the day, I wish to write my own obituary, along with some personal final thoughts.

I was born October 19, 1938 to Glenn and Hazel Howe on a farm south of Bolivar, MO.; owned by my grandparents, James (JW) and Sarah Howe. At an early age we moved to a farm south of Morrisville, where I had a wonderful childhood, and graduated from Marion C. Early H.S.

Three days after graduation, I joined the U.S.A.F. for a 4-year tour, and started my family with JoAnn Howe.  We had beautiful children, starting with Victoria Kim (Tanner), Bobby G. Howe II, Glenna Marie (Cheffy) and Todd Alan Howe; all of whom I am extremely proud of to this day.

After several failed marriages, I adopted two Filipina sisters, Madon (age 9) and Marve (age 5) of whom I am also very proud of.

Through the years, I made many friends, but there has been six men, (they know who they are, so I won’t name them individually), who were especially loyal and constant.  To them, I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for their undying friendship.

Besides my children and friends, I am survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Lastly, and most importantly, there is my lovely wife, Rowena, whom I adore so much; and regretfully having to leave, I say, “Have a great and happy life, my dearest wife, I will love you through all of eternity.”

And finally, to my wife, all of my family, and to many friends, grieve not for me in death, but remember the smiles, the laughs, and the good times we had together in life.  May God Bless you each and everyone.

Per Bobby’s wishes, cremation was accorded by Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester, IL., and a service will be held at a later date.
