Zackery Skyler Emert, 27, of Illiopolis, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Zackery was born on October 8, 1991 in Decatur, the son of Troy Allen and Kimberly Emert. He married Samantha Hunziker on June 19, 2010 at Riverton Christian Church.

Zackery graduated from Sangamon Valley High School and was a certified welder-fabricator.  He was a loving husband, father, son and friend who loved making other people laugh.  He loved the outdoors, nature and spending time with his family.  He never knew a stranger and was always willing to help anyone he could.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Allen and an uncle, Jeff Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha; children, Zoe, Eli and Asher; parents, Troy Allen and Kimberly Emert; grandparents, Charles and Guylene Emert of Shelbyville, Robert and Carol Agney of Decatur; aunt and uncles, Brandi Novak of Windsor, Shawn and Terry McWilliams of Decatur, and Penny and Scott Stonecipher of Long Creek; cousins, Mason Novak of West Frankfort, Joel and Jennifer McWilliams of Oakley, Ashley and Don Stubblefield of Decatur and Danel and Cynthia Barry of FL.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Riverton Christian Church.
