Willie "Fox" Carroll, 83, of Springfield, IL passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Saturday October 2, 2021 surrounded by his family. Willie was born in Evanston County, KY on June 16, 1938 the son of Guy and Susie (Childress).

On August 4th, 1962 he married his wife, Phyllis Jack. He was a laborer most of his life and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR. Willie touched so many lives and was a down to earth kind of guy. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; his parents; his brother, Petie; and his sisters, Pepper, Alice and Gladys.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Kurniskie; son, Brian Carroll; sister, Betty Lou (Jimmy) Clenney; brothers, Roger Carroll, Jerry Carroll, and Carl (Maydel) Carroll; 1 granddaughter, Jessica Kurniskie (Trisha); 2 grandsons; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Willie will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday October 8, 2021 at 11:00am. Graveside services will be held with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating.
