William W. "Bill" Richards Sr. of Springfield, IL passed away on Thursday November 6, 2025.

Bill was born in Edinburg, IL on June 25, 1944 to Ralph B. and Clara M. (Trader) Richards.

He enjoyed spending time with family, working in the yard, walking at Washington park, and going to flee markets. He worked for Auto Wholesalers of Illinois (AWOI) for 40 years before retiring.

Bill is survived by his son, William "Bill" W. (wife, Ruth) Richards Jr. of Springfield; her son, Chris Fulks (wife, Stephanie) of Springfield; great grandchildren, Carmody Fulks and Katie Elliott; and great-great grandchildren, Kade and Charlotte.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Helen, Florence, Edward "Bud", Deloris, Rita, and Carol.

Cremation services are being accorded.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, IL. Services are set to begin at 1:00pm.
