William E. Stockton, 64, of Springfield, formerly of Mechanicsburg, died on Monday, April 27, 2020 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

William was born on April 10, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Fred E. and Mary Alice (Fishburn) Stockton.

He loved to read Western novels, spending time with his family and was a black belt in Taekwondo. He retired after being a truck driver for several years and was also the manager of a Shell Circle K gas station.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

William is survived by his sisters, Sandra (Jack) Green, Barbara (Bob) Rogers, and Mary Freida Stockton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded by Park Funeral Homes.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 7,2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
