William "Bill" Krueger, 89, of Springfield passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Heritage Health.

He was born on January 1, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Richard and Mary Monroe Krueger. He married Melba Williams on January 11, 1958.

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. He worked for Pillsbury for many years and retired after 42 years of service. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed fishing, BINGO, woodworking and collecting clocks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lucy Keltner; and brothers, Robert and Jack Krueger.

Bill is survived by his wife, Melba; three sons, Richie, Bob and Raymond; seventeen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services will be held.
