William Ray Harris, 73, of Springfield, IL passed away at his home on Friday March 18, 2022. William was born in Springfield, IL on March 29, 1948 the son of Gene and Betty (Scott) Harris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Harris; son, William E. Harris; daughter, Kimberly A. Harris; wife, Rose Harris; sisters Lillian Metzger, Wanda Graham, and Doris Payne; and brother, Richard Harris.

William is survived by two daughters, Heather Hudspeth and Sharon Harris; three sons, Bobby, Ricky and Scott Harris; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Donald Harris and sister, Sharon Squires.

William thought he was a great singer but he was truly a jokester at heart. He will be greatly missed by those of his friends and family that knew him.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 28, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, from 9:30AM till the time of the funeral service at 10:30AM. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery following the funeral service.
