William David Whitcomb Jr., 56, of Springfield passed away on Sunday September 29, 2024.

Billy was born in Springfield on September 29, 1968 and was the son of William D. Whitcomb Sr. and Maggie A. Roth.

He was preceded in death by his father and wife Barbara L. Whitcomb.

Billy is survived by his mother; daughter, Alyxis A. Whitcomb (fiancé, Dominic Miller); stepson, Josh David (wife, Elizabeth); stepdaughter, Ashley Woodarad; grandchildren, Jaden Wright, Mari Whitcomb-Miller, and Ashh Miller; brothers, Steven G. Whitcomb (Leah Estill) and Jason T. Roth (wife, Elizabeth Lee); and his significant other, Tamara Burtchett.

Billy loved American muscle cars, especially corvettes and mustangs. He enjoyed reading and learning about history as well. Billy had a special place in his heart for his family and especially his grandchildren. Billy wanted to make people laugh.

A private family viewing is being held and cremation services are being accorded.
