William Michael Rees, 39, of Riverton, IL passed away on Monday September 21, 2026 in Springfield, IL.

William was born in Springfield, on May 7, 1987 the son of Danny and Debra (Scattergood) Rees.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children in his free time as well as spending time with his family.

William was preceded in death by his father, Danny; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Nancy Rees; and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Barbara Scattergood.

He is survived by his children, Addyson, Connor, and Colt Rees; mother, Debora Rees; siblings, Jean (Jim) Hillyer, Michael (Nicole) Rees, and Nicole Rees; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many beloved extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Fullenwider Park Funeral Home, 200 South Church Street Mechanicsburg, IL 62545 on Wednesday September 30, 2026 from 11am till 1pm. The Funeral will take place at 1:30pm followed by a burial at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
