Walter G. Raps, 88, of Rochester, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Villa Health Care in Sherman.

Walter was born on May 21, 1929 in Springfield the son of Paul and Naomi Todd Raps.

He spent his life farming, which he loved doing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Raps; brothers, John and Paul Raps; and sister-in-law, Janis Raps.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Raps; nephew, Scott (Nicole) Raps; and great nephews, Jordan and Brandon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
