Walter Anthony Dowllar, 73, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. John's Hospital.

Walter was born on March 26, 1945 in Springfield the son of Louis Franklin and Lily Alexander Dowllar.  He married Phyllis Smith on July 31, 1965 at St. Cabrini Catholic Church.

He worked for Brandis Aircraft for over 20 years. He was a member of Real Life Church and was a CMA Christian Rider. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, riding his Harley and going to the gun range.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Louis Amos Dowllar.

He is survived by wife, Phyllis; children, Steve Dowllar of Springfield, Amy (Anthony) Miller of Vicksburg, MS and David Dowllar of Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Keegan; sister, Mary Skeens; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the memorial services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Real Life Church with Reverend Clint Cook officiating.
