SPRINGFIELD, IL - Vivian R. Shellhammer, 93, died on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at her residence.

Vivian was born on March 5, 1922, in Illiopolis, the daughter of Martin and Sarah Gosnell Stanfield. She married Charles Shellhammer in 1939; he preceded her in death in 1973.

She was a homemaker most of her life. She attended Kumler United Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Wanda Clark; one grandson, Leon Clark; one sister, Marcella McDaniels; and one brother, Roscoe Shellhammer.

She is survived by one daughter, Norma (Carl) Roberts of Tenn.; one son, Charles Shellhammer of Springfield; grandchildren, Dion (Vicki) Clark of Chatham, Jeff (Krista) Clark of Buffalo, Yvonne, Kim, Sarah and Karen Roberts, and Tracie, Todd, Charlie and Tony Shellhammer; and several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
