Vickie Sue Beal, 75, of Springfield, IL passed away at her home on Saturday September 2, 2023.

She was born in Springfield on December 2, 1947 and was the daughter of Curtis and Ruth (Lairson) Carter.

Vickie graduated from Alexander, Illinois High School and lived in Springfield the majority of her life. She married Robert E. Beal on April 14, 1981 and they have been together ever since. Vickie enjoyed going to craft shows and fall festivals, poker, bingo, or slots, cooking for a crowd, and spending quality time with her family. Vickie especially loved being a grandma. Her door was always open to the neighborhood, and she was considered to be a "mother to all".

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as several brothers and sisters.

Vickie is survived by her husband; children, Russel Young, Traci Budd, Steve Beal (wife, Ladonna), Dalton "Bubba" Beal, Robert Beal Jr. (wife, Chris), Kathy Beal, Malinda Grafelman, Jeff Beal; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Kay Richno; brothers, Gene Carter, Johnny Carter, and David (Carter) Richards; as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews and her grand puppy, Sterling.

Cremation services will be accorded.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home (530 N. 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702) from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.
