Velma "Jackie" Dunn, 97, formerly of Rochester Illinois, now of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away in St. Charles County surround by her family on July 29, 2018, at Frontier Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Jackie was born in Herrin Illinois, on July 24, 1921, the daughter of Jason and Viola Meadors.

During her life, Jackie was a beautician. She loved to play the organ and sing in the choir at church. Jackie was a passionate member of both the Rochester Christian Church and the Mid River Christian Church in St. Peters Missouri.

Jackie also had many passions in life. She loved playing Scrabble with her family and friends, writing letters, knitting, and contributing to the Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Sargent; two brothers and three sisters.

Jackie is survived by her grand-daughter, Robyn (Tom) Millfelt of O'Fallon, MO; grandsons, Ron (Marilyn) Sargent of Naperville IL and Elmer (Tracy) Sargent; and many beloved great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral Home 200 E. Main, Rochester IL 62563.  Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rochester Christian Church.
