Tidy Cora Bates, 62, of Springfield IL passed away peacefully at her home at 10:19am on June 9, 2019.

She was born March 31, 1957 in Springfield, the daughter of Albert and Martha Hanson Jr.

Tidy worked at Skellies Truck Stop, Fleetwood Restaurant, and Meijers. She also enjoyed fishing and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Bates; daughter, Martha Bates both of Springfield, step-daughter, Tammy Bates; step-son, Timmy Bates both of Springfield.

She is also survived by her siblings, Alora Hanson, Barry Hanson, Rose Graham (Steve), Albert Hanson III, Marsha Conaway (Gene), Frances (Steve) Kenny; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial donation may be made to Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral home in c/o the Tidy Bate.

Cremation will be accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home.
