SPRINGFIELD, IL - Teresa C. McBride, 57, of Springfield, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.

Teresa was born March 18, 1958, in Springfield, the daughter of Clifford "Red" and Elizabeth Jones Vincent. She married Mike McBride on Oct. 29, 1988 in Kentucky.

She had worked for the State of Illinois Comptroller's Office and the Department of Children and Family Services. She attended West Side Christian Church and enjoyed going to their property at Lake Shelbyville and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Mike McBride; one son, Nicholas V. Groesch II of Springfield; stepdaughter, Brianne (Joe) Cook of Springfield; stepson, James Michael McBride of Springfield; five grandchildren: Hannah, Sophie and Lydia Cook, and Chloe and Dillion McBride; one sister, Sharon (Bill) Hamilton of Springfield; three brothers: Loren Kent (Gail) Vincent of Springfield, Michael Cleve (Stephanie) Vincent of Boca Raton, Fla., and David Lee (Susan) Vincent of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded by Springfield Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
