SPRINGFIELD, IL - Susan Lynn Skeeters-Woodward, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center.

Susan was born June 29, 1955, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles "Charlie" R. and Laura June Kelley Skeeters. She married Stephen Woodward on Sept. 17, 1994, in Springfield.

Susan was a graduate of Southeast High School and had worked for Horace Mann and retired after 20 years of service. She loved going to the boat, enjoyed her dogs, music and she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Donna Marie.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Woodward of Springfield; one daughter, Christina Woodward of Pleasant Plains; mother, Laura Skeeters of Springfield; one sister, Vicki (David) Wilson of Springfield; one brother, Richard (Linda) Skeeters of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Elm Street Christian Church with Pastor John Sears officiating.

Cremation will follow services.
