SPRINGFIELD, IL - Susan "Sue" Bliesner, 63, died on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.

Susan was born in 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Ernest H. and Virginia Daniels Bliesner, Sr.

She received her associate's degree from Lincoln Land Community College and her master's degree from Sangamon State. She worked for the State of Illinois for the Department of Mental Health and later for the Department of Human Services. She was also certified to work as an addiction counselor. When she was younger she had worked for Dollar General, JC Penney's, and K-Mart to help put herself through college.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and garage sales.

She was preceded in death by father.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Daniels Bliesner of Springfield; sister, Judy (Phil) Ruenzi of Auburn; brother, Ernest "Ernie" Bliesner, Jr., of Springfield; and several nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Radke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Casual dress is requested.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Animal Protective League.
