Sue Frances Shaw, 69, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

Sue was born on October 2, 1947 in Springfield the daughter of Bernard A. and Voncile Hudson Matulevich.  She married John A. Shaw on May 10, 1969 in Springfield.

Sue worked for the State of Illinois - Health Care and Family services for over 20 years.  She was also the owner of the Cottage Inn Bar.  She enjoyed quarter midget racing with her grandsons and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She would do anything for others and enjoyed spending time at her establishment.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Shaw; son, John B. (Andrea) Shaw of Springfield; daughters, Debra (Mike) Long of Pleasant Plains and Jodie (Joe) Foley of Springfield; two brothers, Bernie A. Matulevich of Virginia and Donald Matulevich of Sherman; six grandchildren, John Thomas Shaw, Hunter Foster, Matt, Chris, Megan and Philip Sisti; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Vaughn Beeman officiating.  Cremation will follow services.
