Steven R. Haines, 65, of Rochester, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his residence.

Steve was born on December 17, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Herbert and Annabelle (Ramsey) Haines. Steve graduated from Glenwood High School in 1974, during which time he was involved with Glenwood Singers and also played in the band. He married Tina Payne on October 30, 2004 and she preceded him in death on October 8, 2018.

Steve enjoyed listening to music and working outside.

He is preceded in death by his father, wife, and father in law, Dale Payne.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Leanne Haines; mother, Annabelle (Ann) Haines; brother, Scott (Janet) Haines as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00PM on Thursday, April 14 at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St, in Rochester.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, April 15 at the funeral home with Reverend Brad Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Vigal Cemetery in Pawnee.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Leanne Haines Education Fund, c/o Wilson Park Funeral Home.
