Sheryl F Herchy, 78 of Springfield, IL passed away at her home on Thursday January 21, 2021.

Sheryl was born in Montgomery County, IL on May 27, 1942 the daughter of Ralph and Eileen Johnson.

She married Lawrence Herchy, and they started a family together.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting. Before retiring, she worked at Memorial Medical Center for over 40 years. She was an avid gardener. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Dennis Johnson.

Sheryl is survived by her daughter, Michelle Herchy; son, Jason Herchy (wife, Rebecca); grandchildren, MaKenna, Kyndall, and Temperance; a brother, Lonnie Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family memorial services are being taken care of by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Camp Butler National Cemetery outside of Springfield.
