Sherry Lynne Dishon, 62, of Springfield, IL passed away at home on Monday October 30, 2023. Sherry was born in Springfield, IL on December 5, 1960 and was the daughter of Shirley Ann Ray and Wayne Dishon. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from Southeast High School. Sherry owned and operated several bars and restaurants in the Springfield area throughout her career. Sherry had a passion for cooking it brought her joy to feed others, she  enjoyed camping, country music and having cocktails with friends.  Above all else loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was very witty with a wicked sense of humor. Strong, independent, fearless and highly opinionated. Sherry was considered by many to have a larger than life personality. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Bobby Dishon. She is survived by her children, Ashley Nation (Tony Spa) and Chris "Scooter" Nation (Kayla); grandchildren, Christopher Nation Jr., Haleigh Nation, AJ Turner, William Rutherford III, Zachary Spa, and Kaitlyn Spa; sisters, Linda DeHart (Roger) and Debbie Dishon; niece, Shyla Strode and nephew, Bobby T. Dishon. Cremation services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield, IL.

A Celebration of Life is going to be held Sunday November 19th, 2023 at 4:00pm at Koo Koo's 2, 1724 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL 62702
