Sharon M. (Henson) Hayes, 59, of Springfield, IL passed away on Saturday June 26, 2021.

Sharon was born in Pontiac, IL on August 3, 1961 the son of Delbert E. and Marianne (Handzo) Henson.

She was married on September 8, 1990 to Paul Hayes in Okawville, IL who she is survived by. The 2 shared a wonderful life together, and she will be greatly missed by those that loved her.  Sharon focused most of her adult life on raising a family, she also loved animals and the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Henson.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Paul of Springfield; her parents; her children, Deborah Weakly of Springfield, Paul Hayes Jr. of Waverly, Jason Hernandez of Litchfield, Jodie Downs of Girard, and Jacob Hayes of Springfield; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jo Sanders of TN and Debbie Simmons of Dix, IL; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 9am until the time of the funeral service at 10am. Pastor Larry Hanson will officiate the services.
