Scott A. Winders, 38, of Waverly, Il passed away on July 10, 2023.

Scott was born in Springfield on July 21, 1984 and was the son of Karen S. Winders, and she preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Georgia (Miller) Winders; uncle, Richard Winders; uncle, Bill Miller; and sister, Bobbi Lowe.

Scott is survived by his wife, Lynne Winders of Waverly; children; Alison of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rachel of Waverly, Tara of Waverly, and Tony (wife, Brandy) of Alexis, IL; brothers, James (wife, Jessica) Winders of Springfield, Austin Lowe of Springfield, and William (wife, Ashley) Lowe of Springfield; sisters, Dawn Lowe of Bloomington, and Teresa (husband, Doug) Anders of Springfield; uncle, George (wife, Kim) Winders of Springfield; and aunt, Mary Anders of Springfield; father, William (wife, Charlene) Lowe Sr; nephew, James Winders Jr; several other Nieces and Nephews; and best friend, Ahmad Shephard of Springfield.

Scott was a huge Chicago Bears fan!  He loved comedy, all types of sports, fishing, and watching ESPN. Scott also loved spending quality time with his family, playing cornhole (bags), camping, and spending time with his wife.  He was an amazing cook and loved learning new recipes to try on his Blackstone grill.

Cremation services are being accorded.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday July 20, 2023 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 4:00pm till the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday July 21, 2023 at The Sangamo Surf Club, 405 E. Lake Shore Dr. Springfield, IL 62712 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
