Sallie M. Fry, 64, of Springfield, IL passed away Thursday, October 28th, 2021 in her home. She was born April 15th, 1957 to Robert and Mary Stroh in Springfield, Illinois. Sallie married Jim T. Fry on November 25th, 1981. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Fry, daughter Jennifer Fry, father Robert Stroh, brother Ted Stroh, parents-in-law "Toad" and June Fry, brother-in-law Ron Polistina, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and many beloved friends. Sallie was a stay-at-home mama and a graduate of Southeast High School. She had many hobbies, including stained glass, gardening, bird watching, and endless home improvement projects. She was also a fighter until the very end. Sallie is survived by two daughters, Dakota and Chelsea Fry, sisters-in-law Anna Polistina and Marilyn (Denny) Garland, brother Dennis (Brenda) Stroh, sister Sonya White, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors-turned-family, and dear friends. Sallie requested that no services be held. Big sister Chelsea is gaining guardianship of little sister Dakota and has created an education fund to help ensure a successful future.
