Ruth J. Glasscock, 91, of Riverton, IL passed away peacefully at Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday February 9, 2022.

Ruth was born in Jacksonville, IL on October 1, 1930 the daughter of William and Nora Scott. She married her husband, Wayne M. Glasscock on July 21, 954 and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2006.

She was preceded in death as well by her parents; her children, Cathy Spargue, William Glasscock, and David Glasscock; grandchild, Barbara Hubbard; brother, Earnest Scott and sister, Mary Hunt.

Ruth is survived by daughter, Karen Dinsmore; daughter, Pat Baughman; daughter, Debra (Richard) Klunick; son, John (Judy) Lynaugh; and daughter, Caitlin Hubbard; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and a very large extended family.

Visitation will be held for Ruth on Monday February 14, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm. Funeral services will take place at 10:30am on Tuesday February 15 at the funeral home; anyone wishing to attend may arrive after 10:00am. A committal will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
