Ronald J. Brest, 48, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at his residence.

Ronald was born on July 4, 1968 in Springfield the son of Ronald G. and Judy I. Sargent Brest.

Ronald worked as the Maintenance Director for Villa Healthcare Centers in Sherman.  He was very patriotic having been born on the 4th of July.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and loved the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Amber Brest of Collinsville; parents, Ronald and Judy Brest of Springfield; one brother, David Brest of AZ; three sisters, Tina (Bill) LaMaster of Beardstown, Lori (Stephen) Bozarth of New Berlin and Cherry (Jim) Middleton of Springfield; one nephew, Jimmy Middleton; one great niece; and one great nephew.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Hansen officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
