Rodney Lee Williams, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his residence.

Rodney was born on June 6, 1950 in Springfield the son of Edward and June McConnell Williams.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during Vietnam.  He worked and retired as a mason for Ed Williams's and Sons Masonry.

He was a member of the Illinois Freemasons, American Legion, Amvets, and Bricklayers Local #8.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his life partner, Pam Eliason; daughters, Jennifer (Rich) Pomrenke and Heather (Jon) Crain; brothers, Eddie (Sue) Williams and Larry Williams; grandchildren, Christopher (Kristina) Pomrenke, Savannah Downs, Dominic and Paisley Crain; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Rochester Cemetery with military honors. Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Harry's.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School or Boys Town.
