Rocky Lee Schmitt Sr., of Springfield, IL passed away on Friday December 22, 2023 at St. John's Hospital Hospice. He was the son of Vincent L. Schmitt and Ruby E. Schmitt and was born on February 12, 1960. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent and his mother, Ruby; brothers, Carl (Farmer) Schmitt, and Michael A. Schmitt. He is survived by companion, Debra Sherborn of Springfield, IL; three sons, Rocky Lee Schmitt Jr., Donald Schmitt, and David Schmitt; one sister, Mildred L. Limbaugh; two brothers, Monty R. Schmitt and Dale W. Schmitt of Springfield, IL; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rocky was a member of the Local Teamsters of Springfield, IL since 1988. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and fish fry's with family and friends.

Cremation services are being accorded and no services are being announced at this time.
