Robin A. Hood, 70, of Springfield, IL passed away on Thursday March 21, 2024 at his home in the company of family.

Robin was born in Springfield on August 2, 1953 and was the son of Albert and Marjorie (McHenry) Hood.

He graduated from Lanphier High School and worked in the Springfield area as a cement finisher. He was involved in the Drum Corp and enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes. Robin had a passion for fishing, which he did all of his life. He was very well known and will be greatly missed by many.

Robin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cheri; and brothers, Albert and Kelvin.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Hood (April) of Belleville, IL, Stephanie Morgan (Brantley) of Fayetteville, NC, and Jennie Hood (Nick) of Chandlerville, IL; siblings, Susan Mudd of Springfield, Kathy Harrison (Gary) of Dawson, Peter Hood (Carol) of Springfield; grandchildren, Nicklas (Dakota), Cory, Zachary, Bella, Brooke, Jaiden, and Gavin; great grandchildren, Selena and William; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members

Cremation services will be accorded through Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Third Presbyterian Church 1030 N 7th St, Springfield, IL 62702 from 10:00 am till the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm.
