Robert Eugene Thomas Jr., 50, of Springfield, IL passed away at home in the company of his family on August 26, 2022.

Bob was born in Cottonwood, AZ on August 19, 1972 and was the son of Robert E. Sr. and Judith Kay Thomas. He was raised on the North-End of Springfield, IL and attended Lanphier High School. He married his wife, Tracey L. (Williams) Thomas on July 13, 2012; Tracey was the love of his life. Bob loved his family, his children, his buddies and especially his grandchildren.

He enjoyed making people laugh and giving everyone a hard time. Bob lived his best life and will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charmin Thomas.

Bob is survived by his wife; children, Robert D. Thomas, Marissa Thomas, Dalton Ridgeway, Cheyanne Thomas, Gracelyn Thomas, and Robert E. Thomas III; stepchildren, Amanda Reed and Amber Young; his siblings, Tammy Gerrity, April Redpath, Dawn Thomas, Candy Reed, William Brunner, Bo Thomas and Leslie Ushman; grandchildren, Bentley, Alena, and Rainey Ridgeway; as well as many nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th Street, Springfield, IL 62702 from 4:00pm till 7:00pm.

The family is having a Celebration of Life afterwards from 7pm-9pm at the Grandview Municipal Building, 1620 N Milton Ave, Springfield, IL 62702
