Robert E. Rogers, 92, of Illiopolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Taylorville, IL.

Robert was born on May 27, 1933 in Illiopolis, IL. the son of Herman and Mary Helen (Chance) Rogers. He married Doris June Rogers on March 21, 1953 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 2023. Robert served his country in the military, enlisting in the US Army and serving during the Korean War.

Robert was a self-employed truck driver for many years and enjoyed restoring antique cars.

He is preceded in death by his wife; one son Donald Rogers; brother and sister in law, Thomas and Alice Rogers; sister in law, Delores Rogers; and brother, Herman LeRoy “Roy” Rogers.

Robert is survived by his children, Mike (Belinda) Rogers, Sharon (Fred) Phillips, Karen Jackson, Brenda (Kevin) Roberts, John (Christy) Rogers, Dave (Darla) Rogers, George Rogers and Joe “Skip” (Tonya) Etter; daughter in law, Patty Rogers; sister, Ginger (Jimmy B.) Gonzales; brother John William “Bill” Rogers; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
