Robert "Cowboy" T. McClure, 68, of Springfield passed away on Monday February 12, 2024.

He was born in Florence, AL on December 27, 1955 and was the son of Jack D. McClure and Verlon C. Teaney.

Robert aka "Cowboy" was very well known in Springfield as a window cleaner and a contractor. He was married to Bobbie Jean (Pigg) McClure and she preceded him in death. Robert was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James D. McClure.

Robert was survived by his siblings, Venita Steele of Riverview, FL, Vicky Goff of Springfield, IL, Mike McClure of Jacksonville, IL, John McClure of Englewood, FL, and Donald McClure of Bloomington, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation services are being accorded.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2024 at Oakridge Cemetery in Springfield, IL. Those wishing to join the family may meet at the grave of Robert McClure at 11:00am or simply meet the funeral home and the family just inside the main gates 15 minutes prior to service and the funeral home will take you to the grave.
