Robert Wayne King, 87, of Sherman, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home. Robert was born on September 13, 1934, in Auburn, the son of Halford and Ada (Roush) King. He worked for Carnation in Jacksonville, which later became Nestle, for over 20 years until his retirement. Robert also enjoyed construction work and watching Westerns on TV.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Earl King and one sister, Evelyn King.

He is survived by his children, Sharon and Carolyn King; two sons, David and Michael King; ex-wife, Pat King; step children, Twyla Faulkner, Tina Mitchell, Teresa (Dale) Land, & Trever (Jennifer) Faulkner; sister, Marjorie (Bill) Gaule and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Cremation was accorded and a service will be held on Monday, January 17, at the Illiopolis Christian Church, 304 Anne Street in Illiopolis, at 11:00AM with Pastor Melissa Ebken officiating

Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protective League in Springfield, IL.
