Robert Warren Joy, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.

Robert was born on January 15, 1958 in California the son of James and Patricia Thompson Joy.

He worked as a firefighter in California and later worked for Crowne Plaza in Springfield.  He enjoyed the wilderness, bonfires and the water.

He was preceded in death by his companion Patricia Johnson.

He is survived by daughter, Mariah Joy of Springfield; three grandchildren, Alina, Malik and Aaron Jr.; two brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded.  No services are scheduled at this time.
