Robert "Bob" Dennison, 95, of Dawson, IL passed away on March 8, 2023.

Bob was born in Mt. Auburn, IL on February 5, 1928 and was the son on Hershel and Sally (Tucker) Dennison.

Bob married his wife, Patricia (Gowin) Dennison on February 4, 1949 and they were married for 74 years.

He is survived by his wife; children, Robert L. Dennison (Pamela), and Gail L. Garrett (Steven); grandchildren, Tara L. Gentile, Robert J. Dennison, Loralee Donnelly, and Jennifer M. Dennison; great grandchildren, Cayden, Kristen, Jack and Paige.

Bob was a car enthusiast, and especially enjoyed his 1957 Metropolitan. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family; Bob and Patricia had a trailer on Lake Jacksonville for many years. He worked for many years for Wiley Office Equipment and A.B. Dick Products as a Mimeograph Technician. His employers considered Bob to be very reliable even after retirement. Most importantly, Bob loved his family with all of his heart.

Visitation will be held on March 15, 2023 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 N. 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The funeral will take place at 1:00pm and burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
