Robert "Bobby D" Wayne Dishon, 72, of Springfield passed away at his home in the company of his family on October 2, 2022.

Bobby D was born in Springfield, IL on June 22, 1950 and was the son of Wayne and Shirley (Ray) Dishon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bobby D is survived by his daughter, Shyla Dishon; son, Bobby T Dishon; significant other, Dawn Akers; grandchildren, Hudson Bunch and Denise Dishon; sisters, Sherry, Debbie, and Linda; as well as several extended family members and close friends.

Bobby D was first and foremost a lifelong Cubs fan. He was a carpenter by trade and loved to work with his hands. He also loved to fish, go camping and drink beer with friends. He was a very kind hearted person and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by those that loved him.

A visitation will be held at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 on Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 5:00pm to 6:45pm. A small memorial service will begin at 7:00pm with Pastor Larry Hanson presiding.
