Robert N. "Bob" Newman Jr., 72, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Heritage Hospice of Springfield.

Bob was born on April 26, 1945 in Springfield the son of Robert Newman Sr. and Linnie Belle Emerson.  He married Cynthia A. Pinn on July 12, 1965.

Bob was a carpenter for the Springfield Housing Authority and a member of the American Legion Post 809.

He survived by his wife, Cynthia Newman of Springfield; daughter, Nicole Newman of Springfield; granddaughter, Nicole Newman of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Linda Bryant of Springfield and Toni Newman of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Mike Newman of Springfield and Terry Graham of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded.  No services are scheduled at this time.
