Robert "Bob" Allan Beierman, 51, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at The Mosaic of Springfield Nursing Home.

Bob was born on February 5, 1966 in Springfield the son of William C. and Donna (Weakley) Peterson.

Bob was a Corrections Officer at the Sangamon County Jail for many years.  He moved to Florida in 1984 where he enjoyed life to its fullest and earned an Associates and Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice.  He was a volunteer for the Pawnee football team as well as several other non-profit organizations.   He especially loved his Pug dogs, spending numerous hours with them enjoying the outdoors.  Bob was a loyal Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and enjoyed following all team events.

He is survived by Mother Donna (John) Peterson; brothers, Jeffrey (Sherry) Beierman, Michael (Maureen) Beierman, Marshall Peterson and Reidd (Patty) Peterson, brother from another mother Mike (Lourdes) Herdt, Godson, Michael Beierman Jr.; several cousins and several lifelong friends.

Visitation will be from 1-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
