Robin Lee Loyd, 54, of Springfield, IL passed away on August 12, 2026.

Rob was born in Springfield on October 3, 1971 the son of Bonnie (Dowell) Carter. Rob was adopted by William Loyd who preceded him in death. He was also raised by Charles “Chuck” Carter.

He grew up spending weekends on Sis and Waynes farm in Glenarm, IL hanging with friends and riding dirtbikes while also raising hogs as a kid.

Rob met and married his high school sweetheart, Stacy Chastain, and the two of them were married for almost 30 years before divorcing. They had two daughters, Kaylee and Kamryn, and many wonderful memories.

Rob was a member of the BAC Local 8 Illinois (Bricklayers Union), who he has worked for since 1995. He loved spending time with family and friends. Rob also enjoyed being a motorcycle enthusiast. However, his favorite times were the ones spent with his daughters; known to him as their “Doodle”. Whether it was making dinner with Kaylee or fishing with Kamryn, those were his most cherished moments.

Rob is survived by his daughters, Kaylee and Kamryn Loyd; parents, Bonnie and Chuck Carter; former wife, Stacy Chastain; his grandpets, Dolores and Marceline.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 22, 2026 at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street Rochester, IL 62563 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held following the Memorial Service. This will be announced at the service.
